Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Improve Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia for Chancie “David” Watts, 65, of Hattiesburg, who passed away Saturday, May 1. Interment will be at Improve Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Greg Medenwald, and Bro. Darel Daniels will officiate.

Longtime resident of Mississippi, Mr. Watts served his country faithfully in the Marine Corp. He was a patriot through and through. He enjoyed being outdoors. Mr. Watts was an avid fisherman, loved shooting and collecting firearms. He was very funny and enjoyed making anyone and everyone laugh. David loved his mother Bernice very dearly. He had two daughters that were his world. Mr. Watts served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ faithfully. He truly enjoyed celebrating his family’s birthday parties. David could be heard saying “Semper Fidelis” all the time. He really lived to that meaning. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his Father, David Allen Watts.

He is survived by his Mother, Bernice Watts; two Daughters, Sara Watts, Samantha Watts; one Brother, Stanley “Stan” Watts (Carla); one Sister, Deedra “D.D.” Watts; two Nephews, Eli Watts (Brandy), Reuben “Cody” Watts; three Nieces, Allison Watts, Anna Watts, Cameron Watts; one Great-Niece & Nephew, Avery and Brooks Watts.

Pallbearers will be Eli Watts, Vernon Watts, Stan Watts, Wayne Thompson, Thomas Miller, Marshall McKellar.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Watts, Brooks Watts.
