Mr. W.M. Prine endured a long battle of declining health issues over the past few years.  He passed peacefully at the age of 88, just after midnight November 17th.  He was born June 20th, 1935.  He was a long-time resident of Goss, Mississippi.

Mr. Prine was preceded in death by his parents - the late Quitman and Maxie Randall Prine, all four of his siblings – two brothers Lewis Prine, Lonnie Prine, and two sisters Ruth Prine Dyess (Austin), and Grace Prine Hartzog (Hiram), his niece Belinda Prine, and his great nephew Christopher Prine.

He is survived and grieved by his two sisters-in-law Joyce Prine (Lewis) and Sheila Ruth Prine (Lonnie).  His three nephews Gary Prine (Sharon), Greg Prine (Kim), Kevin Hartzog, two nieces Gail Prine McRaney (Eddie) and Carmen Hartzog.  He is also survived by a large host of cousins, great and great-great nephews & nieces and friends.

W.M. was known as DUB to many but 'affectionately' referred to as "Uncle Dub" to all who knew and loved him.  Dub enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing.  He found great pleasure planting and gardening as well as caring for his many farm animals.   His career existed in the Oil Field and Construction businesses.

Special heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Mary Peters and Mrs. Belinda Peters, Uncle Dub's hands-on caregivers.  The Prine family is grateful for the faithful, tender, loving care they provided to him on a daily basis.  Also, special thanks to all the Nurses who went above and beyond caring for him at his residence.

Funeral services are set for Sunday, November 19th at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, MS.  Visitation for the family will be between noon and 12:30.  Extended family and friends' visitation will be between 12:30-2:30 PM.  Service will begin at 2:30.  Rev. Mark McArthur will be officiating.  Immediately following the services, Mr. Prine will be laid to rest at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery – 246-298 Ebenezer Church Road, Bassfield, MS.
