Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, for Winnie Jewel "Jo" Davis, 80, of Kiln, who passed away Monday, April 8, 2024. Interment will be at Crossroad Church Cemetery in Carson, MS. Rev. Ben Barlow  will officiate the services.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Winnie, known to many as Jo and to her family as Nanny, loved to dance and loved listening to Country Music and Elvis. She enjoyed being outdoors, planting flowers, fishing, and sitting on the porch overlooking the lake. She dedicated over 30 years of her life owning and working at Davis Signs, Inc. in Kiln, Mississippi. She was a resident of PCHR where she was lovingly cared for by her nurses Darla, Carolyn and Kelly. The family would also like to the thank the rest of the staff for their dedication to Nanny.

Winnie was very kind, loving, compassionate, sassy, and a firecracker at times. She loved God and her family immensely along with her friends. She will be deeply missed by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of 54 years, Thomas Davis; her Parents, John B. & Bernice May.

Winnie, a loving mother and grandmother is survived by her two Daughters, Rose Draime (Jesse), Sharon Fleming; one Son, Charles Davis; two Sisters, Hazel Johnson, Shirley McNease; eleven Grandchildren, Amanda, Candice (Jeffrey), Alissa, Glen, Jason, Trevin (Dana), Talina (Willie), Rachel (Omar), Patricia, Alex, and Zachary; eighteen Great-Grandchildren and three Great-Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Burge, Trevin Burge, Alex Davis, Willie Keyes, John McNease, Russel McNease. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Jennings, Tyler Jennings, Fisher Jennings, Luke Draime, Glen Burge.
