Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Oakvale Baptist Church in Oak Vale for Willie Fay Thomas, 91, of Oakvale, who passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025 at The Myrtles Nursing Home. Interment will be at Oakvale Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Vale. Bro. Damon Williamson and Bro. Eddie Myers will officiate the services.

The Thomas family will receive friends on Wednesday morning, beginning at 11:00 am until the hour of service of 1:00 pm at Oakvale Baptist Church.

Willie Fay Thomas, a beloved resident of Oakvale, left a legacy of warmth and cherished memories. Her nimble fingers brought forth beautiful creations through her love of crocheting, each stitch a testament to her patience and artistry. A gifted storyteller, she transported listeners to bygone eras, painting vivid pictures of "the old days" with her remarkable memory. Her stories graced the Oakvale Facebook page, connecting generations with the rich history of their community. A culinary artist, she delighted in preparing delicious meals, especially when family visited, her home always open to friends and loved ones. She also enjoyed the mental challenge of crossword puzzles. Willie Fay's welcoming spirit and genuine love for people made her a treasured presence, and her stories and meals will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her two Spouses, Joe Thomas and Emmit Yancey Williamson; Son, Timmy Williamson; Father, Irby Bourn; Mother, Ella Mae Carter Bourn; Sister, Irby Jean Adkins (Sonny); Daughter-In-Law, Miriam Williamson.

She is survived by her two Sons, Larry Williamson (Pam) and Emmitt Ray Williamson; Daughter, Jean Turnage (Pat); ten Grandchildren, Chrissy Crain (Shane), Kaylan Williamson, Dusty Williamson (Kristen), Damon Williamson (April), Andrea Bessonette (Nathan), Adam Williamson, Lori Bush (Chris), Logan Williamson (Christy), Brandi Grayson and Kelsey Williamson; A host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Mrs. Thomas will be carried to her final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers; they include Nathan Bessonette, Chris Bush, Shane Crain, Adam Williamson, Randall Brumfield, and Bobby Cheeks. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Adkins and Eric Adkins.
