Bill was a dedicated patriot and accomplished professional. Born in Columbia, he served his nation faithfully in the United States Army. After a distinguished career in banking and finance, including a role as Vice President of Bank South and several other Atlanta-area banks, he returned to his hometown of Columbia in retirement. A man of action, Bill could not sit still and always had a project underway, whether it was woodworking, indulging in his passion for cooking, or enjoying a friendly game of bowling. Above all, he cherished his family deeply and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, William Henry Regan & Myrtis Slocum Regan; and three Sisters, Inez McKenzie, Lucille McKenzie, Mary Watson.

He is survived by his Wife of forty-two years, Peggy Jean Regan, of Foxworth; one Daughter, Cynthia Sandifer, of Charleston, South Carolina; one Step-Daughter, Stacey Daniel, of Douglasville, Georgia; five Grandchildren, Zoe Gunn, Eliza Kelly Sandifer, Leah Sandifer, Christopher Daniel and Chandler Daniel; two Brothers, Joe Glyn Regan (Peggy), of Foxworth, Joel Lynn Regan, of Foxworth; two Sisters, Jean Cranford (Don Moody), of Hattiesburg, Barbara Nye, of Columbus, Georgia; and a number of Nieces & Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis at www.stjude.org.
