A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Dorhauer Family Cemetery in Denham Springs, Louisiana for William George Perkins, Jr., 75, of Columbia, who passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Douglas Dorhauer will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia.

Bill lived a simple life among his beloved garden, orchard, and forest of three-thousand loblolly pine trees, each of which he hand-planted.  He was a proud father who encouraged a love of nature, hard work ethic, and pursuit of joy for both of his daughters.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Lisa Catherine Gonzalez Perkins; his Father, William George Perkins, Sr.; and his Mother, Edith Latimer Perkins.

He is survived by his two Daughters, Amanda Perkins (John Allen), of Seattle, Washington, Robin Ollar (Jeffrey), of Tacoma, Washington; two Grandchildren, Mia Ollar, Adrian Ollar, both of Tacoma, Washington; one Brother, Donald Perkins (Donna), of Denham Springs, Louisiana; one Sister, Mary Dorhauer (Douglas), of Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Donald Perkins, Donald James Perkins, Jr, John Allen, Jeffrey Ollar, Emerson Dorhauer, Wyatt Dorhauer.
