Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Woodlawn Church in Columbia for William Erik Gardner, 40, of Columbia, who passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Pastor Jerron Carney, Bro. Danny Forrest, and David Brown will officiate the services.

The Gardner family will receive friends on Thursday morning, beginning at 11:00 am up until the hour of service of 3:00 pm at Woodlawn Church.

Erik was a young man with a zest for life and a deep affection for those around him. He found excitement in the world of UFC and endless entertainment in YouTube videos. An avid outdoorsman, Erik cherished moments spent fishing and camping, often accompanied by his beloved furry companion, Frappe, who was truly part of the family. The roar of engines and the thrill of Talladega held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed staying active by hitting the gym with his brothers. Above all else, Erik's world revolved around Kristy, and he treasured every moment spent by her side. His love for her was the defining light of his life.

He was preceded in death by his two Grandfathers, Ernest Gardner, Donald Morgan;and his Grandmother, Eldora Gardner.

He is survived by his Wife, Kristy Ly; his two Sons, Kohl Gardner, Keaton Herring; two Daughters, McKinley Gardner, Katelyn Morris (Patrick); his Father, Billy Gardner; his Mother, Donna Morgan Gardner; one Grandchild, Emberlee Herring; two Brothers, Kyle Gardner (Chasity), Lane Thornhill (Sara); one Grandmother, Ann Myrick; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Mr. Gardner will be carried to his final rest by those honored to serve as Pallbearers; they include Tripp Jackson, Demarco Franklin, Wes Declement, Ben Rushing, Kyle Stovall, Andy Tolar, and Jo Jo Adkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Dawsey, Hayden Adkins, Tyler Dawsey, and Anthony Morgan.
