A memorial service will be held at a later date for William R Chaplin, 89, of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Bill was an active member of the Marion County community. He tutored children and adults, helping prepare them for admission into college. He loved working in his yard and going to flea markets with his wife.  He was very influential in his daughters life and in business decisions.  He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his Wife of 62 years, Robbie Nell Chaplin; two Daughters, Deborah Chaplin, Deidra Chaplin; Father, William Rosevear Chaplin, Sr; Mother, Molly Powell Chaplin.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie Chaplin (Ervin) of Sumrall, MS.
