A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia for Wauneat Martin Boone, 85, of Foxworth, who passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at Marion General Hospital. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Bro Tyler Chavis and Bro. Millard Moak will officiate.

Mrs. Wauneat graduated Columbia High School in 1954. She taught the children's Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Foxworth for many years. She was an artist, loved to read, and was a skilled seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Hoys Boone; parents, Merida and Gladys Martin; and brother, Jewel R. Martin.

She is survived by three daughters, K.J. Boone, S. Joy May, and Cherry Jan Boone Turnage (David); son, Russell H. Boone; sister, Wandell Martin Fortenberry (Gene); twelve grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
