A memorial service will be held at a later date for Wanda Fay Sweatt-Hinsch, 86, of Columbia, who passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her residence.

Wanda was a very educated lady where she won an award for writing an essay on "How to Improve and advance through Education," She served in the Houston public school system administration for over forty years.  Her passion was education and shopping.  She will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband; Richard Hinsch; parents, William and Effie Sweatt and one brother Roy C. Sweatt.

She is survived by her brother, Morris (Dorothy) Sweatt, of Columbia; nephews, Sonny (Elizabeth) Sweatt, Jr. of Jackson; Will (Haley) Sweatt of Meridian; and Tuan (Paula) La of Camp Eagle, TX; niece, Shauna La of Los Angeles, CA, four great nieces and four great nephews.
