Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Voncel M. Williams, 91, of Morgantown, who passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023. Interment will be at Morgantown Cemetery. Rev. Cory Odom will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Born and raised in Morgantown, Voncel loved her hometown. She enjoyed her dogs and her miniature horses, some of which were shown nationally. She and her husband, Charles, enjoyed traveling and camping, having seen every state in the Continental U.S. Voncel grew up in the Morgantown Church of God, where she was saved at an early age and a longtime, faithful member. She was a wonderful mother and wife and loved her family deeply.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Edward Morgan; her Mother, Dolly Hammond Morgan; three Brothers; and five Sisters.

She is survived by her Husband of 71 years, Charles E. Williams, of Morgantown; two Sons, Daphnis Van Williams, of Morgantown, Don Williams (Denise), of Laurel; a number of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, & Great Great Grandchildren; and countless numbers of Nieces & Nephews.

Pallbearers will be Don Williams, James Bo Williams, Tanner Williams, Randy Bracey, Jordan Holmes, and Ryan Bracey. Jeremy Williams will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
