Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday September 26, 2021 at Oakvale Baptist Church in Oakvale, MS for Virgil Harold Bourne, 75 of Oak Vale, who passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Saint Dominic Hospital. Interment will be at Oakvale Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakvale. Bro Jay Hayes and Bro Dudley Williamson will officiate. Special Music will be performed by Chris Turnage and Sherry Hill. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Oakvale Baptist Church.

Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He worked on the railroad for 37 years.  He was a gentle spirit who never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Bourne; mother, Virgie Hathorn Bourne; brother, Bill Bourne.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dianne Alexander Bourne of Oak Vale, MS; son, Gregg Bourne (Vanessa) of Sunning Dale, UK; daughter, Gretchen D Reed (Jess) of Prairieville, LA; brother, James Carol Bourne (Carolyn) of Austin, TX; grandsons, Sam Reed, Gavin Bourne; and Drake Reed.  granddaughter, Hannah Bourne.

Pallbearers will be John Shoemake, Alex Shoemake, Blake Bourne, Jess Reed, Richard Bourn, Emmitt Ray Williamson, and Joey Hathorn.
