A Visitation will be held from 5:00:00 PM until 7:00:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, Mississippi for Vernon Clay Anderson, 58, of Columbia, who passed away Friday, March 4, 2022.

Born in Columbia in 1963, Vernon spent most of his life as a resident of Marion County. He started his professional working career with Transworld Drilling Company, where he worked his way up to a welder and later, a crane operator. He then worked as a foreman on electrical lines with M.D.R. in Columbia as well as various other companies. Vernon was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. He especially loved and cherished his time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father; Gary W. Anderson and; one Brother, Joey  Anderson.

He is survived by one Daughter, Amy  Harrell (Nick), of Columbia, his Mother, Bennie Fay Wesley Anderson, of Columbia; one Brother, Richard Anderson, of Columbia; one Sister, Julie  Cooper (Chuck), of Lumberton; one Sister-in-law, Patty Anderson; and a number of Nieces & Nephews.
