Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Verna Lee Brady, 95, of Columbia, who passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023. Interment will be at Mt. Sinai Church of God Cemetery in Foxworth. Rev. A.D. Gammill will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Born and raised in Marion County, Verna had a dedicated career as an insurance salesman, where she spent time in Georgia and Alabama. Upon her retirement with Globe Life, Verna moved back to Columbia.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Andrew Marshall Thornhill; her Mother, Martha Eveline Bryant Thornhill; three Children; two Brothers, Neville Thornhill, Weldon Thornhill; and two Sisters, Viola Yawn, Veda Britt. She is survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Thornhill, Vance Thornhill, David Lowery, and Ken Hauser.
