Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Tracey Denise Douglas, 63, of Columbia, who passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at her residence. Interment will be at Gates Road Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Yancy Magee & Rev. Richard Magee will officiate the services. Janet Foxworth, Tina Broom, and Kelli Robbins will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Tracey will always be remembered as a warrior that inspired so many. The family saw her fight through a great deal of obstacles, resembling the same fight of her mother, Lavern. Facing late heart issues of her own, Lavern fought each day for her family and children. Tracey embodied that same inner strength. She fought each day for her family and left nothing behind but a legacy of love for God and her family, just like her strong mother. Her family was her life.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Floyd Phillip Smith; her Mother, Buel Lavern Hudson Smith; and one Brother, Phillip Smith.

She is survived by her Husband of 43 years, Bobby Dale Douglas, Sr. of Columbia; one Son, Dale Douglas (Keri), of Petal; one Daughter, Mandy Dement (Dewyatt), of Columbia; one Sister, Arlene Roberts (Hubert), of Lumberton; nine Grandchildren; and a number of Nieces & Nephews and caring friends.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Roberts, Scott Walker, Hudson Walker, Marty Broom, Jeff Foxworth, and Charles Thompson.
