A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia for Timothy Atha McDaniel, 55, of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020. Bro. Bill Miller will officiate.
Timothy Atha McDaniel, 55, was born on February 2nd 1965 to the late Mary and Atha McDaniel, in Columbia, Mississippi. Tim was the third of three children - Lynn, Gary, and Tim.
Tim graduated from Columbia High School in 1983. Immediately after graduation, Tim started working off shore where he was employed until his death. Tim was a very outgoing person who enjoyed working, so during a brief layoff in the 1980's, Tim went to work mowing and landscaping local yards during his breaks between hitches. Tim had a passion for the outdoors and all things green. He had a green thumb and was well known for giving away more bounty then he kept.
Tim had a genuine love for people that is very rare. He loved, visited, and spent time with people from all walks of life. Tim had an easy going personality, with a smile always on his face. Tim's most recent joys included his grandchildren. You could never find him without one of them, or on his way to pick up ice cream for the babies - possibly himself too. Tim was a great father who spent most of his time bragging on both his daughters, son, and grand-babies constantly. His family will miss him dearly
Timothy was preceded in death by his Parents, Atha & Mary McDaniel.
He is survived by his Wife, Sam-ath McDaniel, of Columbia; two Daughters, Taylor McDaniel, of Columbia, Jade McDaniel, of Columbia; one Son, Austin Lods (Hannah), of Columbia; one Sister, Lynn McCain, of Columbia; Brother, Gary McDaniel, of Columbia; four Grandchildren, Eriyanna Stovall, of Columbia, Emerson McDaniel, of Columbia, Ellis McDaniel, of Columbia, Ayla Lods, of Columbia; two Nieces, Abby McCain, of Columbia, Niki Helton (Brian), of Tampa, Florida; and two Nephews, J.J.
