Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at First Pentecostal Church of Sumrall for Therrel Hibley, 69, of Sumrall, who passed away Friday, October 28, 2022. Interment will be at First Pentecostal Church of Sumrall Cemetery. Rev. W.D. Hibley, Rev. Clint Bourn, and Rev. Daniel Livingston will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at First Pentecostal Church of Sumrall.

Mr. Therrel was a longtime resident of Sumrall, where he lived a beautiful life surrounded by his family and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting wild hogs and turkeys, fishing, and planting a huge garden every year. He was known far and wide for his spicy gumbo, biscuits, dumplings and deer jerky. Mr. Therrel lived his life serving the Lord and enjoyed singing at his church.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Willis Hibley; Mother, Ottie Johnson Hibley; one Son, Douglas Hibley; five Brothers, John Henry, Willie Earl, Bobby Ray, Houston, and Ted Hibley.

He is survived by his Wife of 49 years, Betty C. Hibley; one Son, Willis Andrew Hibley; one Daughter, Lenore Hudson; two Sisters, Dorothy Hibley, Dicie Hibley Swayze; two Brothers, Bill Hibley, W.D. Hibley; two Granddaughters, Hannah Bourn (Todd), Savanna Hudson; and two Grandsons, Mason Hudson, Ranjer Hibley.

Pallbearers will be Jay Foster, Alan Foster, Dustin Hibley, Buddy Hibley, Michael Hibley, and James Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be Willis Hibley, Mason Hudson, Ranjer Hibley, Todd Bourn, and Jeffery Sanford.
