Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Texie Hilbun Smith, 96, of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Marion General Hospital. Interment will be at Foxworth Cemetery in Foxworth. Rev. Zach Smith will officiate the services. Dustin Smith will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Creel Hilbun; one Son, James Hilbun; one Daughter, Janice Bedwell; her Father, Reuben Frances Alexander; and her Mother, Mattie Alexander.

She is survived by her two Sons, Bennie Hilbun (Sarah), of Saucier, Ronal Hilbun (Kathy), of Foxworth; three Daughters, Norma McCain, of Sandy Hook, Debbie McCain (Bill), of Foxworth, Becky Cox (Winston), of Columbia; eighteen Grandchildren; twenty-eight Great Grandchildren; and thirty-two Great Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ty McCain, Ashton Sibley, Conner Cox, Chayse Cox, Eli Hilbun, Dalton Stringer, Caden Stringer, and Tyler Windham. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Sibley, Jamie Cox, Jeff McCain, Wayne Hilbun, John T. Turnage, Ben McCain, Greg Hilbun, Bennie Hilbun Jr., Brandy Hilbun, Joe Cox, and Treston Cox.
