A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Pine Burr Church Cemetery in Columbia for Teddie Lee Sawyer, 99, of Bassfield, who passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at her residence. Rev. Joe Lott will officiate the services.

As a longtime resident of Marion County, Teddie was born on October 3, 1924 in Gill, Arkansas. In the late 80's she owned and operated The Diner in Columbia. She loved fishing from daylight to dark, playing cards, working in her flower beds, and cooking. Her family and friends will always remember her funny sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Britt P. Sawyer, II; her Parents, Walter & Jessie Winter; one Brother; and eighteen Sisters.

She is survived by her Son, Britt P. Sawyer, III (Brenda), of Kentucky;  two Daughters, Kim Cameron, of Bassfield, Beverly Bullock, of Columbia; four Grandchildren, Brittlee Broom, of Pearl, Cory Broom, of Bassfield, Huey Bullock, of Columbia, Jabus Bullock, of Columbia;   five Great Grandchildren; and a number of Half Grandchildren & Half Great Grandchildren.
