Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Ted Leroy Piner, 72, of Carson, who passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Bro. Mike Aultman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Ted served his nation faithfully in the United States Army and did two tours in Vietnam. He was a founding member of American Legion Post 90 in Columbia. Ted loved tearing stuff up and spending time outside. His hobbies included fishing, welding, and mechanics. His motto was, "If one's good, then two is better!"

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Holland & Elma Piner; one Sister-in-law, Barbara Ezell Piner; one Nephew, Greg Piner; one Niece, Katherine Klein; and four Grandparents, Deta Rushing Craft, Mack Craft, Ella Bates Piner, WA Piner.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Debra Piner, of Carson; three Daughters, Alyssa Baughman (Shawn), of Columbia, Amanda Bolin (Russell), of Prentiss, Amberly Sanders (Danny), of Columbia; one Brother, Holly Aubrey Piner, of Duck Hill; one Sister, Sandra Piner Klein (Richard), of Plano, Texas; one Nephew, Ricky Klein (Nephew); eight Grandchildren; five Great Grandchildren and one on the way.

Pallbearers will be members of the American Legion Post 90 in Columbia.
