Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Mt. Sinai Church of God in Foxworth for Sylvia Ann Forbes, 79, of Foxworth, who passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Interment will be at Mt. Sinai Church of God Cemetery in Foxworth. Rev. Joe Leming will officiate the services.    Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Mt. Sinai Church of God.

Sylvia was a lifelong resident of Marion County.  She loved her family and grandchildren. She had a soft heart for animals, especially for Ozzy and Cookie, her two dogs. She was widowed at a young age, and through hard work and dedication, she became a highly respected nurse where she spent a decade at Marion General Hospital. She retired early to devote the remainder of her life to her special needs daughter. She enjoyed genealogy, needlework, and studying her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Jerry Lee Forbes; Father, Pete Thornhill; Mother, Mabel Thornhill; one Brother, Jimmy Thornhill; Grandparents, Hezzie & Floyd Cooper Dunaway; Grandparents, Leon & Florence Thornhill.

She is survived by her three Children, Tracy Forbes, Jerry Allen (Cindy), Melissa Regan (Gary); one Sister, Sharon E. Thornhill; four Grandchildren, Dr. Abby Regan Fugett (Chris), Sam Regan (Katie), Alison Cooley (Brantley), Caitlin Brown (Nathan); seven Great Grandchildren, Delilah, Armenia, Kohen, Esme, Marin, Quillan and Jonah, and a number of Nieces and Nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brantley Cooley, Chris Fugett, Ricky Conerly, Sam Regan, Nathan Brown and Dale Bracey.
