Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia. Bro. Ryan Freeman and Bro. Glen Nace will officiate. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Foxworth. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday.

Susan Rebecca Stephenson, 75, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026. She was devoted to her family and spent many years caring for others as a nurse. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, she enjoyed traveling, reading, and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome Foxworth and Mae Cooper Foxworth; husband, Benny H. Smith; her son, Kevin Smith; and her sister, Sandra Armstrong (Burlon);

Survivors include her husband, Jon Stephenson; her son, Danny Smith (Elaine), her brothers and sisters, Marvin Foxworth, Carol Miller (Jimmy), David Foxworth (Leah), Linda McMillan.

She is survived by five grandchildren: Justin Smith, Matthew Smith, Ashley Mullenax, Haley Williams (Tanner), Courtney Powell (Josh); her five great grandchildren, Aidyn Boone, Alexie Kingston, Brynlee Powell, Blakely Powell and Knox Powell.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Powell, Matthew Smith, Jerry Foxworth, Dayn Armstrong, Devon Armstrong, and Tanner Williams.
