Sue Lanell Baughman passed away on January 19, 2026 at Forest General Hospital surrounded by her family.

Sue Nell was born August 1, 1941 to El and Ethel Watts. She is proceeded in death by her mother and father, her siblings, and her husband of 57 years, Henry Baughman.

She is survived by her children, Reggie Baughman, Randy Baughman (Mary Ann), Lynn Baughman (Darrell Martin), and Ancel Baughman (Alice), her nine grandchildren and spouses, seventeen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sue Nell was known for her exceptional cooking and baking skills. She always made Christmas special by baking everyone's favorite dessert. Throughout their marriage, she and her husband truck farmed a garden and raised cane to make sugar cane syrup. From the garden, she would make homemade jelly, canned vegetables, and her famous sweet pickles. She was a faithful member of Victory Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 40 years, where she also served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always made it known how much she loved her family.

Visitation will be held at Hathorn Funeral Home Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. The funeral will be officiated by Bro. Everette Broom on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm. Grave side to follow at the new Enon Baptist Church cemetery in the Enon community.

Pallbearers will be Wilson Simmons, Nick Simmons, Jacob Baughman, Bradley Broom, Bradly Simmons, and Zach Frost. Honorary pallbearers will be Braylen Simmons, Hunter Simmons, and Kash Simmons.
