Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Sunny Hill Pentecostal Church in Purvis for Steve Ernest Piercy, 72, of Purvis, who passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024. Interment will be at Slade Cemetery in Purvis. Rev. Jeffery Jones & Rev. Cody Moody will officiate the services. Sis. Casey Piercy will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 and from 9:00 am until 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Sunny Hill Pentecostal Church.

He was a mechanic who could fix anything from airplanes to lawnmowers. He served in the us army as an electrical mechanic from 1971-1974. He was big brother to more than just his 6 brothers and sisters. He loved people and was a jokester. He loved laughing and good stories and had several of his own to tell. He was an avid car collector who owed everything from a 1929 model T to a 1957 Ford hardtop convertible which is rare. More than anything he loved his family. Although he had no children of his own, he was generous with his love and finances to everyone. He didn't like to see the people he loved in need. His heart was as big as his personality.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Ernest & Yuba Runnells Piercy; and two Sisters, Evelyn "Dixie" Moody, Marilyn "Cookie" Swilley.

He is survived by his three Brothers, Christopher Randy Piercy (Billie Joyce), of Petal, Craig Piercy, of Purvis, Jeremy Piercy, of Hattiesburg; one Sister, Tammy Guyton (Paul), Purvis; a number of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, and one Great-Great Niece.

Pallbearers will be Matt Moody. Mickey Moody, Byron Lee, Delvin Thomas, Brandon Robertson, Dewayne Lawler, Ethan Spinner and Bobby Roberts.
