Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Stringer Cemetery in Columbia for Shelli M. Blackwell, 55, of Petal, who passed away Friday, October 15, 2021. Interment will be at Stringer Cemetery. Dr. Dean Register will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blackwell loved her family and friends immensely. She was devoted to presenting the Gospel through music. Her personality was infectious to all who knew her. When the family thinks of Mrs. Shelli, they remember her love for her makeup, jewelry, and her pets. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Blackwell was preceded in death by Father, Luther "Lee" Barnes; Mother, Shelia Barnes; one Brother, Lee Barnes Jr.

She is survived by her Husband of 27 years, David W. Blackwell; one Daughter, Ashlee Kate; one Son, Merritt Blackwell; three Brothers, Jeffery Barnes, Stephen Barnes, Doug Barnes, and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
