Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Sandra Ann Yates Shropshire, 68, of Columbia, who passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023. Interment will be at Greens Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Carson.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Sandra will always be remembered for her deep love for Jesus as well as her love for all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Thomas Shropshire; her Father, Billy Yates; her Mother, Dorothy Varnetta Smith; and one Brother, Benny Yates.

She is survived by her Son, Vernon Nettles, Jr., of Vicksburg; her Daughter, Chasity Beasley (Adam), of Oxford; two Grandchildren, Adam Beasley, Jr., of Oxford, Heaven Nettles, of Vicksburg; four Brothers, Cecil Yates, of Purvis, Chester Yates, of Vicksburg, Karl Yates (Leta), of Columbia, Keith Yates (Amber), of Wiggins; one Sister, Judy Stacey, of Scotts Valley, California; and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces & Great Nephews.
