Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Samuel Claborn Emler, 22, of Columbia, who passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Children`s of Mississippi. Interment will be at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Ron Ullman will officiate the services.

The Emler family will receive guests on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 pm up until the hour of service at 3:00 pm at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Clay, a cherished, lifelong resident of Marion County, leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. Known for his sweet spirit and inability to hold a grudge, Clay brought joy to all who knew him. He found immense happiness in dancing, singing, and was an avid fan of wrestling. His love for music, especially during worship services on Sundays, was infectious. Above all, Clay treasured every moment spent with his beloved family, who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Robert William Emler, Jr.; his Mother, Teri Anne King Emler; one Grandfather, Robert William Emler, Sr.; and one Grandmother, Robin King.

He is survived by his Cousin & Caretaker, LeAnn Emler, of Columbia; one Grandfather, Terry King, of Columbia; one Grandmother, Margaret Emler, of Columbia; three Aunts, Ann Emler, of Columbia, Rebecca Emler, Rebecca Baker (Michael), of Columbia; one Uncle, Jarred King (April), of Petal; and numerous Cousins.

Mr. Emler will be carried to his final place of rest by those honored to serve as Pallbearers: Kyle Barnidge, Michael Baker, Parker King, Sean Everhart, Jonathan McCain, and Luke Sanders.
