Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Improve Baptist Church in Columbia for Russell W. Stringer, Jr., 46, of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at his residence. Interment will be at Improve Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Darel Daniels will officiate the services. Bro. Reuben McDowell will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home, and from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Improve Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Lynne Irene Morris Hinkle; and Grandparents, W. J. Boe Stringer & Eddie Pearl Stringer, Robert Schuyler Morris & Irene Laird Morris.

He is survived by his Wife of 18 years, Kay Stringer of Birmingham, Alabama; his Father, Russell W. Stringer, Sr. (Gayle), of Columbia; his Sister, Audrea Aurillo (Paul), of New Orleans, Louisiana; one Nephew, Robert Aurillo, of New Orleans, Louisiana; and a number of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and other family & friends.

Pallbearers will be Robert Aurillo, Schuyler Morris, Ricky Hopper, Joseph Tatum, Travis Thomas, and Clay Broom.
