Funeral services will be held on Monday, 11:00 am at Bunker Hill Baptist Church in Columbia for Ruby Jewell Nalls, 78, of Columbia, who passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Asbury Hospice House. Interment will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Columbia. Dr. Gary Roberson will officiate the services.

The Nalls family will receive friends on Monday morning, beginning at 9:00 am until the hour of service of 11:00 am at Bunker Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ruby, a woman of remarkable talent and unwavering dedication and faith, passed away peacefully with her family at her side.

Over the years, Mrs. Ruby served in many roles, including civil service, Personnel Manager for the Post Office, baton teacher, piano teacher, accompanist, and pianist for Carthage, TX school choirs. To her students, she was more than a teacher or pianist, with numerous students considering Mrs. Ruby as their "second mother."

Always believing her musical talents were a gift from God, she shared her gifts as an instrumentalist and singer in her churches from the age of 18, earning the spirited nickname "Rocking Ruby."

Beyond music, she was a skilled quilter and seamstress. She designed and sewed costumes for her daughter, and she was an avid reader.

She cherished her beloved furry companion, Queenie,

and above all, she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Jewell Jerome Renfroe; Mother, Ruby Nell Robertson Renfroe.

She is survived by her Husband of 60 years, Russell Wade Nalls; two Daughters, Jerilyn Dawn Farmer (Darren) and Ruby Jewellette (Julie) Nalls; Grandchild, James Wade Farmer; Brother, Marcus Lavell Renfroe (Sandi) and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
