September 23, 1960 – March 12, 2022
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Darbun Mennonite Church in Kokomo for Ruby Ann Autin, 61, of Foxworth, who passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at her residence. Interment will be at Darbun Mennonite Church Cemetery. Pastor Klaas Reimer will officiate. Visitation will be held at Darbun Mennonite Church from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2022 and from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Darbun Mennonite Church.
Ruby was born in New Orleans, LA and resided in Westwego, LA most her life. Ruby had a special love for Pierre Part, LA where her parents and ancestors spoke Cajun French as their primary dialect. She loved spending her time out on the water and fishing. She was known for cooking and baking delicious food, crocheting beautiful blankets, tending to her plants and in recent years acquiring a talent for painting. Most importantly Ruby loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Ruby had a heart for others to come to the Lord, especially her brothers, sisters and family. She was loved by friends and family and will always be remembered dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents Albert Aucoin Sr. and Martha Breaux Aucoin; one sister Mary Lou Guthrie; three brothers, Carroll Aucoin, Stephen Aucoin and Francis Aucoin (Pookie).
Ruby is survived by her daughters Shelly Autin Duclos, Hollie Autin Plaisance, Elizabeth Aucoin Broom; son-in-laws, Joseph Duclos, Josiah Plaisance, Manton Broom; six grandchildren, Joel Griffin, Jolene Duclos, Jalynn Duclos, Treyzin Hall, Lanora Hall and Everly Plaisance; seven sisters, Margie Lory Aucoin, Katherine Gomez, Linda Bassil, Cheryl Pregeant, Elda Trombatore, Veronica Trauth, and twin sister Judy Le; three brothers Calvin Aucoin, Albert Aucoin Jr and Donald Aucoin.
Pallbearers will be sons-in-laws Joseph Duclos, Josiah Plaisance, Manton Broom; grandson Joel Griffin; nephew Oliver Le; family friend Abram Strite.
