Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Robert Lee Bush, 86, of Columbia, who passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Tommy Stogner will officiate the services.  Missy Booth will provide special music.

The Bush family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 pm up until the hour of service at 3:00 pm at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Bobby was a man of adventure and unwavering faith. His passion for riding motorcycles was only surpassed by his love for his wife, Janice, with whom he explored nearly every state in the U.S. on two wheels. A dedicated member of the Christian Motorcycle Association in Hattiesburg, he shared his love of riding and his faith with fellow enthusiasts. He also cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Roxy. A proud veteran, Bobby faithfully served his nation in the United States Air Force. His career as an oil field consultant took him across the globe, broadening his horizons and enriching his life. A faithful member of North Columbia Baptist Church, Bobby's life was a testament to his love for God, family, and the open road.

He was preceded in death by his Wife of forty-seven years, Janice Ann Jones Bush; one Son, Wayne Bush; his Parents, Robert S. & Sadie Mae Traylor Bush; and one Sister, Mary Black.

His memory will be forever cherished by his two Sons, Robert Cully Bush (Evelyn), of Leakesville, Shane Bush, of Hammond, Louisiana; his two Daughters, Shari Hutchinson, of Columbia, Lisa Cunningham (Randall), of Columbia;  one Brother, Neil Carnathan (Sharon), of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; one Sister, Patsy Rue (Rego), of Marietta, Georgia; eleven Grandchildren; ten Great Grandchildren; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

Mr. Bush will be carried to his final rest by those honored to serve as Pallbearers, the Deacons of North Columbia Baptist Church.
