Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Richard Louis Green, 79, of Columbia, who passed away Friday, April 26, 2024 at his residence. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Dick grew up in the Sumrall area, and made a career in the oilfield. He retired after forty-four years with Noble Drilling. He enjoyed riding his four-wheelers through trails in the woods. Some of his fondest times were spent riding with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Son, Derick Green; and his Parents, Bill & Doris Arnolie Green.

He is survived by his Wife, Theresa Forbes Green, of Columbia; one Son, Ricky Green (Julie), of Sumrall; one Grandchild, Taylor Green, of Sumrall; one Brother, William "Bull" Green, of Sumrall; three Sisters, Susan Babin (Brandon), of Walker, Louisiana, Kathy Greenlee (Dale), of Sumrall, Anita Green, of Sumrall; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Pallbearers will be Paul Crabtree, Clayton Crabtree, Malachi Crabtree, Kyler Blackwell, Billie Blackwell, and Lawson Graves.
