Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Rhua Dale Williams, 70, of Columbia, who passed away Monday, January 16, 2023. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Dewitt Bain will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Rhua was a longtime resident of Columbia. He worked in Russia and India laying pipeline, and he also worked construction in many locations all over the South. Rhua was a passionate deer hunter and also loved his cat.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Clifton Williams; his Mother, Lois Moree Williams; and one Brother-In-Law, Harvey Alderman.

He is survived by his Son, Rhua Dale Williams, II (Amy), of Houston, Texas; three Grandchildren, Haley Williams, Jake Williams, Ethan Williams, all of Houston; one Sister, Earnestine Alderman, of Columbia; and one Nephew, Keith Alderman (Lee Anne), of Southaven.
