Rex J. Thompson's Obituary
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia for Rex J. Thompson, 92, of Foxworth, who passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Bro. Tyler Chavis will officiate.
Mr. Rex was a member of First Baptist Church of Foxworth for over 60 years. He was the oldest member in the church. He served his country in the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Thompson; parents, B.B. and Leone Thompson; and brothers, Bruce Thompson and Burl Thompson.
He is survived by his son, Allen Thompson (Donna) of Foxworth; daughter, Donna Emler (Louie) of Columbia; four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
