Phyllis Ann Pierce Entrekin Regan
Phyllis Ann Pierce Entrekin Regan, 86, passed away on July 11, 2026, at South Central Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 14, 1940. Phyllis was the daughter of W.J. and Leah Lou Pierce. Phyllis grew up in Columbia, MS, and spent most of her life in her hometown—only living in Laurel, MS for the final years of her life. Phyllis was a graduate of Columbia High School Class of 1958 and attended William Carey University and Mississippi College. She worked in numerous positions throughout her life, including many years at the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and in the office of Columbia High School. Phyllis was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her faith was foundational, and she was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Columbia where she served in many capacities, including the Potter’s Clay touring ensemble. She was an accomplished vocalist and pianist, as well as an avid tennis player. Her family and friends will remember her unwavering optimism and wit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Arlin Regan; her parents, W.J. and Leah Lou Pierce; and brother, Donald Benton Pierce.
She is survived by her loving sons Doug Entrekin (Sally) and Romney Entrekin (Ashley); and four grandchildren, Tyler Entrekin (Jessica), Meghan Entrekin, Mary Katherine Entrekin Morgan (Luke), and Matthew Entrekin (Kathryn). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Libby Rowell, and two nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 9:30-10:00 a.m. at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, MS, with a memorial service at 10:00 a.m.
The service will be officiated by Reverend Michael Allen. A private family burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia.
The family would like to thank the staff of Comfort Care Nursing Center and caregiver, Sharon Magee, for their kindness and care.
