Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, August 18, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Patricia Ann Broom, 67, of Sumrall, who passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024. Interment will be at Bethel Church Cemetery in Bassfield. Rev. Trent Williamson, Rev. Bill Morris and Rev. Rocky Colson will officiate the services.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday, August 18, 2024, and again on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Broom lived a beautiful life surrounded by her family and grandchildren who she loved immensely. She was a homemaker and truly lived to take care of all those around her. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing at church, camping, cooking and crafting. Mrs. Broom was known as Nanny/ Nanna to countless lives. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Roy "Ruvell" Broom; Father, Barney H. Bass; Mother, Betty Sue Bass; one Brother, Barney "Lavon" Bass.

She is survived by her two Children, Dustan Broom (Heather), Bridgette Broom (Craig); two Sisters, Peggy Nelson, Doris Graves (Mark); four Grandchildren, Krystal Williamson (Trent), Perry Broom (Hannah), Trisdon Broom, Alexia Broom and five Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Craig Broom, Perry Broom, Trisdon Broom, Christopher Bass, L.J. Reid, Bradie Reid.
