Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Nell Tolar, 87, of Columbia, who passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at her residence. Bro. Mark McArthur will officiate the services. Interment will be at Society Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

As a longtime resident of Marion County, Nell was a faithful member of Hathorn Baptist Church. She welcomed many to fellowship and eat at her table. She loved her family very deeply.

Nell was preceded in death by her Husband, Harold Glen Tolar; her Parents, John & Myrtie Mae Forbes; one Son, Shelby Tolar; two Daughters, Stephanie Tolar, Sandra Sanford; four Sisters, Lena Delancey, Mary Forbes, Odell Forbes, Johnnie Mae Saxon; six Brothers, Nelson C. Forbes, Hoyt G. Forbes, Charlie Forbes, Melvin Forbes, William Albert Forbes, Thomas Forbes; and two Grandchildren, Brian Turnage, Christopher James Fulton.

She is survived by her Son, Terry Tolar; three Daughters, Karen Arbour, Nedra Pittman (Wendell), Tracey Fulton (James); twelve Grandchildren; and a number of Great Grandchildren.
