Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Columbia, MS for Moree English, 87, of Columbia, who passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Memory Care. Interment will be at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia, MS. Bro. Darrin Webb will officiate the services. William Anthony will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Good Hope Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moree was an active member of Good Hope Baptist Church and the XYZ club at First Methodist Church. She was a 1953 graduate of Improve High School. She enjoyed being outdoors, vegetable gardening, flower gardening, bluegrass music and taking care of her pets. She loved taking care of everyone, from the elderly to the young at heart. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Horace Edward English; Son, Edward "Eddie" English; Father, Vester Haddox; Mother, Letha Haddox; Sister, Mary "Tiny" Haddox Rutland.
She is survived by her Son, Neal English (Andrea) of Columbia, MS; two Daughters, Faye English Pittman (Randy ) of Brandon, MS and Angela English Smith (Darren) of Columbia, MS; Sister, Jewel Haddox Morgan of Powder Springs, GA; Daughter-In-Law, Lynn Porter English of Columbia, MS; eleven grandchildren, Warren English (Ashley), Tucker English (Morgan), Karie Bedwell (Justin), Ryan English (Mandy), Lee Pittman (Erin ), Lydia Barton (Gentry ), Jenna Storck (Caleb), Ross Pittman, Abby Walley (Dalton), Lane Smith and Jace Smith (Taylor); eleven great -grandchildren that she cherished; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lee Pittman, Ross Pittman, Jace Smith, Lane Smith, Richard Doss, and Edward Stringer.
