Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Mona Faye Stringer, 67, of Foxworth, who passed away Friday, January 6, 2023. Interment will be at Travis Stringer Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Terry Rayburn & Dr. Jerry Watts will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mona was a longtime resident of Marion County. She was known for being a great cook. She also loved to read and enjoyed gardening. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church in Foxworth. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Albert Dean; her Mother, Marian Lorrett Dean; and one Brother, Kevin Dean.

She is survived by her Husband of 50 years, Donnie Wayne Stringer, of Foxworth; one Son, Daniel Stringer, of Foxworth; two Daughters, Shelly Dement (Eddie), of Foxworth, Sheila Graves (Chris), of Foxworth;  two Grandchildren, Samantha Kaye Graves, of Foxworth, Piper Landri Dement, of Foxworth; two Sisters, Cheryl Bracey, of Foxworth, Judy Brumfield (Ralph), of Foxworth.
