A private memorial service will be held for Maurice J. Hughes, Jr. 50, of Columbia, who passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital. Chris Turnage will officiate.
Maurice had a great personality, loved the outdoors and loved to play his guitar.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Dalton.
He is survived by his mother, Kim C. Hughes; father, Maurice Hughes, Sr.; sister, Mary Smith (Shan); brother, Michael Hughes (Stephanie); two sons, Dylan Hughes (Caiti), Brandon Hughes (Nichole); two grandchildren, Bentley Joseph Hughes, and Dallas M. Hughes.
