Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Matthew "Matt" Thomas, 36, of Foxworth, who passed away Friday, February 3, 2023. Interment will be at Foxworth Cemetery. Rev. Burl Livingston & Rev. Felix Arnold will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Matt was a lifelong resident of Marion County. He always enjoyed sitting on his front porch, and he was an avid outdoorsman. Whether it was deer hunting, turkey shoots, fishing, or mud riding, Matt enjoyed being outside. Everyone knew of his love for his 2002 Chevy Silverado, which he affectionately called "Baby!" But more than anything, Matt loved spending time with his family and especially his children.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Charlotte Renea Thomas; his Maternal Grandparents, Charles & Loleda McLeod; and Paternal Grandparents, Kevin & Corinna Thomas.

He is survived by his two Sons, Matthew Thomas, Jr., Cameron Cartier, both of Foxworth; his Daughter, Victoria Thomas, of Foxworth; his two Step-Daughters, Christin Nichols, Emalee Nichols, both of Foxworth;  his Father, Brian Kevin Thomas (Marie), of Foxworth; his Fiance, Erin Nichols, of Foxworth; three Sisters, Heather Menard, of Kokomo, Amanda Thomas, of Foxworth, Tannah Simmons, of Morgantown; and five Nephews, BriAndon Thomas, Braylon Thomas, Bryson Thomas, Dennis Menard, all of Foxworth, and Waylon Miller, of Morgantown.

Pallbearers will be David Seymour, Jamie Powell, Phillip Slocum, Frog Powell, Cameron Cartier, and Clinton Faust. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Menard and Michael Harrell.
