A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia, for Mary Nell Broom, 91 of Hattiesburg, who passed away Friday, May 27, 2022. Rev. Terry Wallace will officiate the service.
Mary Nell touched the lives of many people. She was very generous, giving, and colorful. She enjoyed painting and was also an incredible seamstress and crafter. She was known for her handmade greeting cards. She raised four daughters, and her family has fond memories of her chicken and dumplings and banana pudding. She was active in her churches throughout her life, and after retirement, Mary Nell traveled frequently and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first Husband, Conrad Glenn Boleware; her second Husband, Olen Stuart Broom; her Parents, Willie Cecil Cleveland and Flossie Henrietta Breazeale; and one Sister, Bonnie Jean Bush.
She is survived by four Daughters, Ramona Boleware Adams (Stanley), of Hattiesburg, Monica Boleware Cullen (Allen), of Carthage, Bonnie Nell Little (Harry), of Prentiss, Naomi Boleware Warden (Tony), of Sumrall; one Brother, David Earl Cleveland (Jan), of Pearlington; eight Grandchildren, Stefanie Streger (Jason), Anna Levia (Jonah), Amanda Adams , Carrie Adams, Steven Cullen (Amy), Dustin Cullen (Emily), Luke Daughdrill (Mandy), Kaci Daughdrill (Cody); and seven Great Grandchildren, Hannah Gibson, Olivia Levia, Wyatt Streger, Isabelle Cullen, Bode Daughdrill, Rayn Daughdrill, Ethan Henderson.
The family wishes to share a special thanks to the Management & Staff of Bellevue Assisted Living for their love and exceptional care. The family also extends deep gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses, & Staff of 2 North at Merit Health Wesley for their outstanding care, compassion, and thoughtfulness.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a favorite charity.
