Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Marty Stovall, 62, of Kokomo, who passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his residence. Interment will be at Darbun Community Cemetery in Kokomo. Dr. Jerry Watts and Bro. Kevin Crozier will officiate the services. Joe Bracey will provide special music.
The Stovall family will receive friends on Friday evening, beginning at 2:00 pm until the hour of service of 4:00 pm at Hathorn Funeral Home.
Marty Stovall was a man whose skills and generosity touched many lives. An electrician by trade, his knack for fixing things extended far beyond wires; he was a true jack-of-all-trades, particularly adept at repairing boats and guns. With a curious mind and skillful hands, he loved to tinker and understand how things worked. Marty's appreciation for the outdoors was profound, finding joy in hunting and fishing, especially when it meant spending time on the river. His love for his family was unwavering, and his selfless nature was evident in his willingness to do without in order to help others, a true testament to his kind and giving heart.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Willie Ray Stovall; Mother, Charlotte Hilton Stovall.
He is survived by his Wife of 42 years, Donna Stovall of Kokomo, MS; Son, Will Stovall (Kelly); Daughter, Krista Populis; Son-in-law, Jason Populis; three Grandchildren, Trenton Stovall, Kalli Populis and Jenson Populis; Step Granddaughter, Olivia Lindley; two Sisters, Paula McPhearson (Eugene) and Shelia Holmes (Doug); Father-In-Law, Wayne Stringer; Mother-In-Law, Linda B. Stringer; Brother-In-Law, Eric Stringer (Maria); Sister-In-Law, Shelly Anthony (Mark) A host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
Mr. Stovall will be carried to his final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers; they include Nephews; Brian Ginn, Douglas Holmes, Logan Anthony, Maguire Stringer Grandsons; Trenton Stovall, and Jenson Populis.
