Mrs. Martha Warren Bell of Sandy Hook passed away peacefully on April 1, 2021 in her home. She was born March 7, 1922 in Sandy Hook and recently celebrated her 99th birthday. Mrs. Bell was a 1941 graduate of Columbia High School, where she was a basketball letter winner. She served in the United States Navy during World War II, where she met her husband of 70 years, Bennett W. Bell. Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband and six siblings. Survivors include her son, Mike Bell (Susan); grandchildren, Katherine Butler and Jennifer Shiver (William); her sister, Maude Parish; four great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

She was a member of Grace Chapel in Sandy Hook. Interment will take place on April 6, 2021in the church cemetery.
