Marilyn Gibbs is a name synonymous with joy, laughter, and light.  Any room she stepped foot into was left filled with smiles and fond memories.  Marilyn was a loved and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother,  as well as a dog mom and friend to any and all.  Mrs. Gibbs was selfless and stubborn, and full of creativity, humor and love were not all she cultivated, as she found happiness in the beautiful plants she cared for, and the art she crafted.   As devastating as it may be to see her go, may we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loving mother, daughter, and husband in the beautiful kingdom of Heaven.  May her loved ones be reminded of her in the beauty of trees, flowers, and the smiles seen on the faces of those who love her, and were toughed by her each day.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Raymond Dale Gibbs;  Daughter, Rianna Marissa Wilson;  Father, J W Culpepper;  Mother, Jimmie Louise Johnson Gill;  Brother, Billy Joe Culpepper;  Step-Mother, Shirley Culpepper.

She is survived by her two Daughters, Rita Mullins (Kevin) and Rana Creel;  two Sisters, Donna Powell (Michael) and Glenda Edwards (Terry);  five Grandchildren, Destiny Creel, Johnathan Creel (Katelyn), Kendall Mullins (Nikki), Nicholas Creel (Gabriella) and Kameron Mullins; 6 Great Grandchildren;  A host of nephews, nieces, and friends;  Son-In-Law, Doc Wilson.

Mrs. Gibbs will be carried to her final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers; they include Kendall Mullins, Johnathan Creel, Merrel Porter, Kameron Mullins, Nicholas Creel, Doc Wilson, Clayton Powell, and John Creel.

Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences and a guest registry are available at www.hathornfuneralhome.com.
