Margaret was a woman of strength, love, and unwavering devotion. She was a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and a true friend to many. Margaret found joy in the simple things, such as the thrill of a good find while shopping at thrift stores and the satisfaction of creating delicious meals in her kitchen. A gifted cook, she delighted in sharing her food with loved ones during her frequent visits with family and friends. She also enjoyed the rewarding process of canning foods and jellies. She was a faithful member of the West Columbia Church of God and loved her friends and fellow church members there. Though unable to attend in person in her later years, Margaret found comfort and inspiration in watching the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, with a special appreciation for their music. Her deep and abiding love for her family was the cornerstone of her life.
She was preceded in death by her two Sons, Kevin Douglas Anderson, John Barry Anderson; her Father, Arthur Atwood; her Mother, Helen Coltiel Napier Atwood; two Brothers, Earl Ray Atwood, Kermit Atwood; and three Sisters, Mae Wilborn, Earline Hunt, Elizabeth Atwood.
She is survived by her Husband, John Hall Anderson, of Columbia; her Son, Byron Dean Anderson (Mae), of Foxworth; her Daughter, Jon Ellen Anderson, of Columbia; one Brother, Jim Atwood, of Petal; two Sisters, Ethel Delaware, of Bassfield, Christine Stewart, of Collins; eight Grandchildren, Anna Marie Lacy, Rachel Lynn King, Byron Dean Anderson, Jr., Brandon Lee Herkes, Shawn David Herkes, John Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Jessica Anderson; and a number of Great Grandchildren.
