Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Fairview Baptist Church in Sumrall for Lewis W. "Pete" Haden, 72, of Columbia, who passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Interment will be at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Sumrall. Rev. Mitchell Douglas will officiate the services.

Born in Marion County, Lewis spent most of his life as a truck driver. He loved his family and his grandchildren deeply. He will always be remembered as a jokester, and he was well-loved by the community and his many friends. Lewis was a member of the Baptist faith and saved by the blood of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Julius & Opha Robertson Haden, and one Brother, Donald Robertson;

He is survived by his Wife, of 30 years, Penny Sanford Haden, of Columbia; three Sons, Douglas Haden (Kristie), of Florida, Cody Sanford (Lorrie), of Sumrall, Hunter Haden, of Columbia; eight Grandchildren, Stormy Sanford, Hayden Sanford, Savannah Sanford, Douglas Haden, Jr., Chloe Haden, Hannah Haden, Logan Haden, MaKenna Haden; two Sisters, Judine Parker (Harlen), Wilda Philpott; one Cousin, Beverly Carter; and numerous Cousins, Nephews, & Nieces.

Pallbearers will be Donovan Pickering, Brad Sanford, Tyler Watson, Wesley Watson, Wayne Denham, and Keith Stubbs.
