Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia for Lestus James Bryant, 71, of Columbia, who passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025 at The Grove. Interment will be at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia. Bro. Rick Clark will officiate the services. Lucas Stringer will provide special music.

The Bryant  family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Pat Bryant;  Mother, Velma Dee Baughman Bryant.

He is survived by his Wife, Cherry Brasseal Bryant; Son, James Bryant (Special Friend-Debbie);  two Daughters, Sharon Bowers (Shane) and Celeste Sistrunk (Darrell);  Sister, Debbie Thomas (Jim);  seven Grandchildren, Robert Newman, Cami Ginn (James), Kristopher Ginn (Hailey), Charity Lott (Zachary), Jacob White, Leann Smith (James) and William Sistrunk;  Great Grandchild, 11 Great Grandchildren;  Nephew, A host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Mr. Bryant will be carried to his final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers; they include Zachary Lott, Hayden Hinton, Preston Hollingsworth, Jeff Brasseal, Robert Brasseal, Jessie Brasseal; Honorary pallbearers include Kristopher Ginn and Dale Dyess.
