Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Lester B. Tullos, 90, of Columbia, who passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at his residence. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia.  Bro. Michael Jerome will officiate the services.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Lester was a man who cherished family and community. He found immense joy in family gatherings, the thrill of fishing, and the camaraderie of his close friends, Perry Stringer and Lavelle Stringer. After a period in Texas, where he worked as a city bus driver, Lester returned to his beloved Mississippi, embracing the slower pace of small-town life. He dedicated a portion of his career to the shipyard and later retired from Griner's. Lester will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Lester was preceded in death by his Wife, Claudia Tullos; Daughter, Lisa Tullos; Father, James C. Tullos; Mother, Tera  Mae  Baker  Tullos;  four Grandchildren, Corey  Wayne Hudson, Jamie  Hudson, Nick  Warren, Sam Jerome and Matthew Jerome.

He is survived by his Son, Michael Jerome (Teresa); three Daughters, Teresa Speights (Jon), Sharon Levy (Rudy), Barbara Sartin  (Ricky );  eleven Grandchildren, Mike  Jerome  (April), Tom  Jerome, Matt Jerome, Steve  Jerome, Jeremiah  Levy (Ashley), Leigh Sylvest, Nathan  Speights, Trent  Speights, Danielle  Blake  (Franky), Dustin  Marusak and Bryan Sartin (Brittney);  seventeen  great grandchildren;  two Great-Great Grandchildren; and a host of Nieces, Nephews and  Friends.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Speights, Trent Speights, Jeremiah Levy, Bryan Sartin, Steve Jerome.
