A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 16, 2023 at New Bunker Hill Cemetery in Columbia for Laura Robbins Bass, 100, of Columbia, who passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at The Grove. Rev. Lloyd Thompson will officiate the services. Bro. Chris Turnage will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Laura was a longtime resident of Marion County. She retired after a long career as a Quality Control Inspector with Pioneer Parachute Manufacturing in Columbia. After the death of her husband, Laura took over his logging business for several years. She was an active member of the Eastern Star, as well as a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Columbia.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Vernon Bass; one Son, Robert Abb Bass; her Father, William Abb Robbins; her Mother, Mollie Farmer Robbins; two Brothers, Charlie Robbins, Rodney Robbins; one Sister, Pearl Robbins; and two Daughters-In-Law, Freddie Lynn Bass, Allene Bass.

She is survived by her one Son, Charles Vernon Bass, of Columbia; three Grandchildren, Mike Bass (Melanie), of Columbia, Brent Bass, of Columbia, Laura Clinton (Junior), of Oloh; seven Great Grandchildren; four Great Great Grandchildren; and a number of Nieces and Nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bass, Trenton Bass, Michael Russell, Benjamin Thompson, Seth McCain, and Bryson Herrera.
